Summary: The view from the patio is beautiful. Songbirds, sheep and lamas. Definitely recommend staying here if you have access to a vehicle.

Summary: Stayed one night and had a great experience! Due to delays in our travel schedule we had to check-in late and were unable to contact the property regarding this. We arrived with an envelope addressed to myself with all the information needed! The room was large, very clean and the hospitality was amazing! The next morning we had the opportunity to speak with the owner and help feed their sheep and alpacas! I would strongly recommend staying at Hunters Moon and if I ever return I will stay here again

Summary: We have been staying in some 4 star hotels on our travels and Hunter’s Moon is by far our favorite place to stay in New Zealand. Love the location and John made us feel so welcome.

Summary: We had room four, which is very spacious. The parking is a tad tight, but manageable. John, who owns the place, is absolutely delightful! Very kind and open. And my personal highlight was joining him in the morning to handfeed the sheep and alpacas.

Summary: We had a really lovely stay over 4 nights. John made us feel as if we were at home and with a friend. Although the room we had was not one of the ensuite rooms, we had a dedicated bathroom to ourselves, and we knew it would be like that when we chose the room and the rate. There was also a guest kitchen which was well equipped.

Summary: Located only 20-30 minutes drive from Dundedin city centre, but in countryside setting, tucked out of the way. Quiet. Clean and comfortable room with a modern clean en suite shower room. Very comfortable bed. Small fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave, in a cupboard.Kettle. Access to a guest kitchen - but we took up the continental breakfast option (cereal, juices, toast, butter, etc). Small table and a couple of chairs outside - we used one to supplement the chair in the room when it rained. Very nice host - who was available during the breakfast service and for the daily feeding of the alpacas, sheep and chicken. Good WiFi. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay and it made a good base to explore the Dunedin area.

Summary: Peaceful, clean and well appointed property that was situated close to many dining options. Welcoming and well-organized host who created hospitable environment. Rooms were comfortable, quiet and spacious - excellent value for the money. Simple continental breakfast and beverages that suited our needs perfectly. Highly recommend!
